The MD/PhD Program of The University of Texas Medical School at Houston and the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center

Welcome

The University of Texas MD/PhD Program at Houston is a joint UT Health Science Center at Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center Program for educating physician-scientists. Students earn dual MD and PhD degrees in the rich training environment provided by laboratories, hospitals, and clinics in the Texas Medical Center so our graduates are uniquely prepared for careers in translational research where basic research is applied to improving patient care and promoting well-being and observations/samples from patients are taken to the laboratory to improve understanding of disease mechanisms.
